I need to work harder at being a slacker.

Friday afternoon and once again a completely empty office. I could have not turned up today and nobody would've noticed, because none of them turned up either. It's pretty amazing to find myself out-slackered. I always thought I was the slackest slacker that ever slacked, but apparently I underestimated the slacker commitment of my co-workers. Note to self: try harder.

The wierdest thing about it all is that once again, I'm taking the empty office as an opportunity to do work. Shouldn't I be nicking off with office resources or trotting off to the beach or drinking beer on company time or something? But no, I'm all "Lack of distraction! Yeah baby, let's get stuck into the brochure re-design!". I think I haven't been in full-time work for long enough to fully grasp the concept of Friday afternoons just yet.

Bonus of having no co-workers: I can listen to the rudest music in my music collection, as loud as I please. Last night I acquired the original Minty version of "Useless Man", as voiced by Leigh Bowery, and that's making my ears very happy indeed.
