Not really resisting the descent into urban gardening madness

Small and lovely

I had to assemble my new pedestal fan before I could tolerate being in my room today (hot, sticky, lovely). I went to the beach yesterday while I skived off from work, and went again today on my legitimate day off. I'm really liking my new 60's era two-piece- the top is, um, quite uplifting, in the way that makes sure that my boobs do not move an inch, no matter what I'm doing, and the bottoms are sturdy enough to withstand the very feisty waves that were throwing me around when I first jumped in at Clovelly today.

Also, I wore a short skirt out at night (without accompanying boots!), and was comfortable the entire time.

Seeds that I planted on the balcony have sprouted circular little leaves and my basil plant is growing furiously. I have a dainty new phone (it slides and swishes!) with which I could even take a photo of my seedlings. Sure, I could also take the photo with my real camera, but where would the fun in that be?

Update: I woke up this morning with a rotten hang-over and a nasty pain in my pinky finger. Closer inspection revealed that I had clumsily bandaged it, and after some thought I vaguely remembered getting home from the pub last night and thinking that a toasted cheese & tomato sandwich would be a great idea. I remember slicing right through the tip of my finger, and I remember a startling and constant gush of blood. I haven't been brave enough to take the bandage off to have a look at it yet, but the fact that there are blood spatters on the kitchen bench (sorry Luke! I'll clean them up when I feel less rotten!) makes me sincerely hope that the tip of my finger is still, in some way, attached.

Yes, once I actually took the bandage off the damage wasn't too severe- tip of my finger still in it's original place, just somewhat reshaped by the experience. I didn't think to photograph the blood spatter, I do apologise. I think we shall have to produce another one for your viewing pleasure, don't you?
